Today, I want to introuduce one of my favorite athletes. That person is Nao Morooka, the athlete of karate.
She is a graduate of Aoyamagakuin university and belonged karate club when she was in university.
Nao was born in 1982 and she's now 28 years old. Nao is famous of kata, which is one of the events of karate. Though she has retired from professional because of her marrige, she won many titles of big competitions by now. When she was a university student, she won All Japan Student Championship for 4 consecutive years!!! That was an unprecended feat. I love her kata. She has only 150 centimeters tall, it is shoter than mine, but her demonstration of kata looks so powerful!! Please watch her video. That video is 36th Japan Cup Karate Championship in 2007.
It is so great. I also practicing same kata, kousoukun-dai, now. I want to be a strong athlete like her... I have to practice much harder.
