Hakone Ekiden

Good evening!!

This is today's dinner<333 We ate grated yam!!

Grated yam is one of my younger brother's favorite foods, so my grandmother cooked it for today's dinner. Thanks to my grandmother, it was so delicious♪ It tasted so good that I had some extra bowls of rice. I feel as if I had gained weight recently.lol

By the way, did you watch Hakone Ekiden? I watch it on TV every year. It was sooooooo great!! Aoyama Gakuin University did well in this ekiden!! Final runner's running was left an indelible impression to me. Finally, Aoyama Gakuin University was in the 9th place. Teams that finish in the top 10 are seeded in the following year's Hakone Ekiden, so I was very glad of this result! We can see our university in next Hakone Ekiden, too!! I'm looking forward to seeing our university's running in next year. I've participate Ekiden when I was a junior high school, so felt nostalgic when I watched it on TV. Though our team couldn't win in prefectural tournament, it is one of my precious memories.

Shrek Forever After

Good evening:-)

Today, my father had a free movie ticket, so I went to see a movie with him. We saw "Shrek Forever After". It is a 2010 animated fantasy-comedy film, and it is the fourth and final installment in the Shrek film series. I've saw all Shrek film, Shrek1~3, so I wanted to see it for a long time!! The story of it was so interesting. I love this film the best in all Shrek series. The message of the film was so clear that everyone could understand it easily. I saw it in 3D. It was the first time for me to see a movie in 3D, so I was very excited before I saw it. In fact, images were beautiful and vigorous★

Have you ever seen this film? If you not, I recommend you to see it in 3D!! You might enjoy seeing it.

grilled eel

Hello~:-) How are you?

Today, I ate a bowl of rice topped with grilled eel♪ This is a picture of today's lunch.

My grandmother received some eels from her friend!! Eel is one of my favorite foods, so I was happy to eat it. It tasted sooooo good!!










While I eating it, I watched the game of the Emperor's Cup soccer championship on TV. Niigata-nishi high school participated the championship as the representative of Niigata prefecture. The captain of Niigata-nishi high school is a junior of my junior high school!! He was my brother's classmates, so I know him very well. He and his younger brother made a very strong showing, and the team won second-round match yeasterday!! Today, the team played third-round match against Rissho university shonan high school. I watched the whole game on TV. Niigata nish high school played well, but the team lost 5-1 to Rissho university shonan high school. Though it's a disappointing, I was happy to watch their brave figures;)

Ayumi Hamasaki

Today, I'd like to write about my favorite Japanese singer, Ayumi Hamasaki.



Ayumi Hamasaki, who is called Ayu by her fans, is a Japanese singer-songwriter and fomer actress. Since her 1998 debut with the single "Poker Face",  Hamasaki has sold over 50 million records in Japan, ranking her among the best-selling singers in the country. She is one of the most popular singer in Japan!! She is so beautiful and has a good figure. Before she became a singer, she worked as a model. Her fashion is always so cute that many girls are influenced by her.

I love her because of her song's lyrics. She wrote her songs all by herself. I can listen her song sympathetically. I also love her voice, and the way she sings. Her high voice is sooooo beautiful♪ This is one of her famous songs, "Moments". This video is the footage of live. The way of her singing is so powerful!!

By the way, recently I heard a surprising news of her. She will be married!! On 1th January, she told it on her blog. Her marriage partner is Austrian man. She met him at her song's filming and they started to get along. They will file their marriage paper in the near future. The news was unexpected, so I was very surprised when I knew that. However, I was so glad of her marriage because I'm one of her fans. Anyway, congratulations on her wedding!!

Good evening!!

Today, my cousin, who is working at a hotel as a cook, came to my home and brought us New Year's food, which was sold at his hotel, so we ate it this evening. This is the picture of today's dinner!!

New Year's Food that he brought was sooooo delicious<333 In New Year's Food, there were some western sweets, too, such as tart and pie. I've never seen Nea Year's Food which included western foods before, so I was surprised when I saw it. However the taste of it was so good that I recommend you to try it if you have a chance to eat it!!

By the way, my cousin will be married in this year. He will get married to a woman who is working at same hotel resterant. He spent a long time with her. I was little bit surprised when I heard that because he is 21 years old and he's young, but I was so glad about his marriage. My cousin and his fiance are living together now. I hope they can spend a life filled with happiness from now on. I'm looking forward to attending his wedding ceremony, too!!

New Year's Day

A happy new year!! It is the beginning of a new year:-)

This morning, I ate New year's food, which is called "osechi" in Japanese. My grand mother prepared it for us before New Year's Day. The foods that make up osechi each have a special meaning associated with good luck, so eating it in New Year's Day is so auspicious!! It was soooooo delicious<333

After I ate it, I visited to a shrine for Hatsumoude. I went to Suwa Shrine, which lies in near my house, and prayed for happiness and a healthy year. I want to be an energish woman this year. It means, a person who has an ability to take action. Last year, I did few challenges because I was afraid of making big mistake. Reflecting on this, I want to challenge a lot of things in 2011!! Passing English Language Proficiency test is one of my aim of this year. I also want to challenge TOEIC and TOFLE because I havn't had it before. Studying for these tests will make my English ability improved, too. Anyway, I'll try hard to pass and get high mark in these test :) I hope my effort will be rewarded.

a happy new year

Good evening and happy new year :-)
The new year has just started!! First of all, I'd like to write about yesterday, the last day of the year.

Yesterday, I went out to karaoke all through the night, so I came home at 8 a.m. As soon as coming home, I went to bed. I was so tired that I get up out of a deep sleep at 4 p.m.!! I had slept too long.lol After I got up, I had a dinner with my family.

It was New Year's Eve, so sumptuous dishes were served for dinner:) My mother and grandmother prepared them for us. All of them were so delicious<333 They tasted so good that I ate too much...



After I ate it, I watched Red and White Singing Festival. It is NHK's annual year-end grand song festival. This festival features many famous singers and groups, so I watch it every year. This year, Keisuke Kuwata, one of my favorite artists, appeared in the festival!! He had been depicted esophagus cancer, but he has recovered it in 2010, so he participated the festival for a guest singer as part of a comeback attempt. I had foud the vedio of it, but it was deleted this morning... So, please watch this video!! This song is one of my favorite winter songs, "White Lovers(白い恋人達)".



In Red and White Singing festival, I felt his singing wasn't at his best yet, but I was glad to know his comeback;) Red and White Singing festival was so interesting. The year will not be over until I have seen the annual this festival!!

I'll go to bed now. This night is too cold...
